Reel Horror

How it all Began...

Reel Horror began like most great ideas. In 2002, Mike Carbone, co-owner of Reel Horror, attempted to buy a horror movie site that was going out of business. At the last minute the owner of the site found a way to keep it up and running on his own. Mike was disappointed but happy for the owner as he was a big fan of the site.

Mike continued to visit the site, as well as number of others because each one offered something different. However, none of them offered everything that Mike was looking for in a horror website. Then the idea hit him, why not create the site himself? He contacted his friend and web-designer, Michael Sean Becker. Michael loved Mike's ideas so much, that the team began working on their new site the same day.

On October 31, 2002 ReelHorror.com was born.

Site goal

Mike and Michael's goals are simple, to have the best horror site out on the web today. One that offers everything that Mike wanted in a horror site and one that fills in the gaps where the others were lacking. To do this ReelHorror.com will always be improving and adding new features.

Movie Database
Currently, ReelHorror.com has a Movie Database of over 1300 movies. Users can post their own comments about each movie or read the comments of others. The Movie Database is a work in progress, and will always have new features and movies added to it.

News
It is the hope of ReelHorror.com to be your one stop news source for all things horror. For added fun, guests will have the opportunity to comment on the news of the day and to use our search engine to keep abreast of your favorite articles.

Interviews
Since other people's lives are always more interesting, each month ReelHorror.com will offer a new interview from some of the top names of horror.

Events and DVD Releases
At ReelHorror.com you will find a calendar of DVD releases, movie conventions, festivals, book signings, and so on.

The Message Board
ReelHorror.com has a nice little community of horror fans and it is growing every day. Here you can talk all things horror and make some friends in the process.

The Reel Horror Podcast
Since ReelHorror.com's inception in 2002, Reel Horror has expanded into the Podcasting World. The Reel Horror Podcast, begun in January 2006, is hosted by Mike (aka.,The Show) and Michael (aka., 2Sensitive) and provides you with the same Information and Entertainment that you will hopefully come to expect from Reel Horror, including Dr. Pus's Manic Movie Minute, Interviews, News, Reviews and a whole lot of Ranting.
